Momentary Introspection #1

So forgetting about "all things church" for awhile...it's time for some momentary introspection. When I need to think about my life I turn to two sources: Music or Movies. Sometimes I go looking for the inspiration, sometimes the inspiration finds me. Tonight I went looking for it.

So here's the introspection posed to me from a quote in the movie "Fight Club". I am very interested to hear what each of you has to say. It's two questions really...both worth asking and knowing.

1. What do you wish you would have done before you die?
2. If you were to die right now how would you feel about your life?

My answers:

1. Finished.
2. I'm not done.

Does that make me selfish?

Fight club is a movie that I appreciate. It makes me think too.

1) I wish I was able to reconcile with my mother. She's not interested.

2)If I died right now I would feel "unfinished." I would want to parent my kids and see grandkids..

Thanks for your posts. I am grateful to have found you guys. So far I resinate with all you say. God bless you abundantly....

Hmm... Hard questions from one of my favorite books/movies.

1. I wish I would have been nicer to people, more patient...

2. I'd feel like I'd missed out on something...

Now, I have to steal this idea and post it on my forum.

Ah, one of my favorite movies.....

Good questions Steve. Here are my answers:

1. To have left a good lagacy for my children.

2. Uh, OK I guess. I feel that I have been unfairly blessed in my life, almost as if I have been able to skirt by. I wish that I would 'fight' more and make more of an effort in, a broad way of thinking.

maybe it's just me, but i think those questions need to be put into the context of the movie. the questions were rehtorical and not asked out of sincere curiosity.

but hey, what do i know...
